New, from Crime and Suspense!

This writing contest is only open to subscribers to the Crime and Suspense ezine... but it's free to enter!

The rules are:
This must be a previously unpublished crime short story (mystery or suspense)
The length is to be from 1000 to 2000 words, inclusive
The story must be set in or around Washington D.C.
The time may be any time from 1776 to present day
You have until midnight (Eastern U.S. time) on June 15, 2007 to submit the story to beltway@crimeandsuspense.com
Be SURE the subject line of the entry reads BELTWAY ENTRY
Submitted stories will be published on a special page on the Crime and Suspense web site
The judging of these stories will be by the readership, in a BLIND survey, beginning on July 1 and ending on July 7, 2007 (to vote you must be a subscriber to the ezine and use your ezine subscription email to validate that)
Ties for any place (First, Second or Third) will be broken by random selection.
The authors of the stories must be kept secret until after the contest is over and the winners are announced. Anyone who is found to reveal his/her story to anyone before the contest is over will be disqualified
Winners will be determined and announced no later than July 14, 2007
Prizes:
First Prize - A set of all four of Austin
Camacho's Hannibal Jones mystery novels, signed by the
author
Second Prize - Two of Austin Camacho's Hannibal
Jones mystery novels, signed by the author
Third Prize - A copy of Crime
and Suspense Anthology I with Austin's story signed by the author
